Classroom Policies:

Attendance

Please see the Jefferson County Code of Conduct for attendance guidelines. Any absence that is deemed “unexcused” will be documented and you will get a 0 for all work on that date. After 5 unexcused absences, you will fail the class.

Make up Work

When you are absent, it is your responsibility to check my website. Any notes missed are your responsibility. You must get them from another student. If you are absent on the due date of a previously assigned project, it is due on the day of your return. You will have to sign up to take any missed tests. If this is not done within two weeks of your absence, you will get a zero on that test.

Tardies

If you are tardy to class, you will sign the tardy notebook by the door. After 5 tardies, you will write vocabulary words 25 times each. For every tardy after that the multiples go up by 10.

Bathroom and out-of-class business

Please take care of this between classes. In case of an emergency or desperate need to go back to get an assignment, you will have to take a tardy to leave the room. You must sign the tardy notebook.

Discipline

I do not anticipate discipline problems. We will be doing group work. It is your responsibility to have a good attitude and be cooperative with your group members. The most common problem is being off task and talking or not bringing materials to class. All infractions will be documented and sent to the office. Do not let this happen to you.
