Competition

Walter Trumbauer Theatre Competition

Friday and Saturday, November 7 & 8

Oak Grove High School

 

All students will prepare for the competition by choosing and rehearsing for at least two of the categories.  I will choose the best performances based on grade and work ethic to go to competition.  This is a very exciting and rewarding experience, and I hope all of you will do your best on these assignments.  The following are the categories you may choose from.  I will outline the requirements for each event and assist you in choosing a piece appropriate for this.

 

1)                   Solo pantomime- female or male

2)                   Duet pantomime

3)                   Dramatic interpretation

4)                   Humorous interpretation

5)                   Poetry interpretation- female or male

6)                   Duo interpretation- dramatic

7)                   Duo interpretation- comedic

8)                   Prose interpretation

9)                   Solo acting- contemporary dramatic- female or male

10)                Solo acting contemporary comedic- female or male

11)                Duet acting contemporary dramatic- female or male

12)                Duet acting contemporary comedic- female or male

13)                Solo acting classical dramatic- female or male

14)                Solo acting classical comedic- female or male
